As you probably already know Xiaomi are the makers of one of the best top selling Chinese smartphones

And they recently have been moving forward and shaking up the market with their variety of high quality budget (most of the time) friendly tech such as their Mi Band, Mi Gamepad, Piston Earphones, Smart Mi TV 3 & their Yi Sports Action Cam
While everything they make has a sleek minimalistic IKEA like designs they are very functional as well, in both the hardware & software department

Now they are taking 2 steps into Mobile VR
  • One is their recently announced Xiaomi Mi VR Play Headset / Platform (Will talk more about it in just a bit)
  • And the other thing is their Google Daydream Ready phones they are working on (which we don’t have info about yet)

Note: This is what we know so far about the Xiaomi Mi VR Play

  • Body made of “Lycra Fabric” for light weighness and comfort
  • Phone compartment is held by a “Two-Way Zipper
